Meatloaf is the ultimate family dinner dish. Here’s a recipe guaranteed to delight the entire family. Bennett’s Chili sauce, with sweet relish, peppers, onions, and other spices, has been Mother’s secret ingredient to great tasting meatloaf for over 50 years!
Ingredients
Ground Beef: 1-1/2 pounds
Ground Pork: 1 pound
Chopped Onion: 2 small onions
Minced Garlic Cloves: 4
Eggs: 2 (beaten)
Milk: ½ cup
Bennett's Chili Sauce: ¾ cup
Fresh Parsley: 1 cup
Parmesan Cheese: ½ cup grated
White Bread: 4 slices torn into pieces
Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In large bowl, pour milk over bread and let soak for approximately 30 seconds. Add ground beef, ground pork, onion, garlic, ½ cup Bennetts Chili Sauce, parsley, parmesan cheese, eggs (beaten), salt and pepper. Mix by had until all ingredients are combined. Do not overmix.
Divide mix in half. Very gently pat each half into an 8-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch loaf pan. Do not press the meat too much.
Place both pans on a jellyroll pan to catch possible drips, and place in oven. Bake for 45 minutes. Spoon remaining ¼ of Bennetts Chili sauce onto the loaves and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
Meatloaf is done when juices run clear, and thermometer inserted into thickest part reads 160 degrees.
Remove from oven, let sit 5 minutes. Turn loaves out of pans and slice each into ¾ inch slices. Enjoy!
